2. What data we collect
- Form data (demo or contact request): name, phone, email, company, industry, your POS / cash register system, number of locations, and your message;
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and accessed pages, automatically logged by our server for security and functionality;
- Cookie-free visit statistics: pages visited, traffic source, device type, and country, counted in aggregate with a tool hosted on our server, with no individual profiles and no sharing with third parties (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- Google Analytics, only with your consent: pages visited, traffic source, device and browser type, approximate country and city, via
_gacookies (13 months). Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw anytime from “Cookie Settings” in the website footer. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, which may transfer data outside the EEA based on standard contractual clauses; Google Signals and ad personalization are disabled, data is kept for 14 months. - Local storage: a single browser setting (
pv_ga) to remember your cookie preferences.
3. Why we use your data and legal basis
- to respond to your request and arrange the demo or discussion: steps prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent when submitting the form;
- for website security and abuse prevention: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- for legal obligations, such as accounting, if you become a client (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal effects on you and we never sell your data.
4. Who we share your data with
We use service providers who help us operate the website and respond to you, in the following categories: hosting within the European Union, email and notification services. They process data only under our instructions. A full list of providers is available on request.
If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep your data
- demo and contact request data: up to 24 months from your last contact if you do not become a client; then we delete it;
- if you become a client: for the duration of the contract and as required by law after it ends;
- technical server logs: for a short period, usually no more than 90 days.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to object, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@vigilessa.com. We will reply within one month.
You can file a complaint with the national data protection authority, www.dataprotection.ro.
7. Client camera footage
Video footage analyzed by Vigilessa belongs to our clients, who are the data controllers. Syntranova processes it solely on their behalf, as a data processor, under the Data Processing Agreement (DPA). If you were recorded at a client’s location, please contact that company directly; we will support them in responding to your request.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-based access, and safeguards against abuse.
